Puan Ari is the visionary behind Obig Group Sdn Bhd. Bringing with her, over 30 years of hands-on experience in food and beverage and the catering industry.
Puan Hawari
Founder & Culinary Strategist
Her entrepreneurial journey started from the ground up, selling nasi lemak on the
streets to survive. With unwavering determination, she moved into corporate catering for prominent local and multinational companies such as Sime Darby, Lever Brothers, Tractors Malaysia, Dunlop, Denso, Vale Mineral Malaysia and PETRONAS.
For a period of over two decades, she focussed on the offshore catering sector,
where she managed halal food supply and catering operations on oil and gas
platforms, drilling ships, construction and accommodation barges, and shore base camps. As the offshore segment declined post-pandemic, she reinvigorated her involvement in the onshore catering sector, consolidated all onshore activities, leading to the establishment of Obig Group Sdn. Bhd. serving as a key vendor to major wedding and event hubs, solidifying the company’s presence in large-scale catering services.
Under Obig Group, she also developed diversified food brands, including Tisha’s Frozen Snacks (notably its Popiah series), health-focused menus for Keto Mall, and Ready-to Eat (RTE) meals for CSR initiatives with Kotak Global.
Puan Siti Hawari holds a Diploma in Public Administration and Law, and has pursued diversified culinary training with certifications in Thai Authentic Cooking (Blue Elephant, Bangkok), Italian cuisine, Nyonya cooking, and desserts and pastries. Her continuous self-driven learning and constant experimentation reflect her deep passion for food and innovation.
Through Obig Group Sdn Bhd, Puan Siti Hawari combines resilience, culinary mastery, and strategic leadership to serve diverse markets-private, corporate, retail, and CSR—with a commitment to quality and excellence.
